Bradford residents: June is here, and it’s the perfect time for a road trip! Lucky for you there are several great options for day trips from Cary as well as a few other useful road trip ideas:
Location, location, location: If you’re looking to leave Cary for the weekend, try hitting up New Bern, Beaufort, or Hillsborough, NC. All three charming North Carolina cities provide an escape with great food, quaint shops, galleries, and lots of history. You can be transported in just a few hours and take in the waterfronts, historic homes, and much more. Come back rested and refreshed and make all your friends jealous when you show off your fantastic vacation pictures and unique purchases from the local shops.
All about the journey (and the destination): Lauren of La Petite Fashionista has a great list of road trip questions to help end of the awkward car silences. Enjoy the list, or the conversations that come from how much you hate the list or what should have been included. You’re welcome.
Food, glorious, food: The best part about a road trip is the food. This weekend we’re celebrating Strawberry Shortcake Day, and National Lobster Day. We challenge you to take full advantage of each of these national holidays while you’re out exploring. Hit up three local establishments and compare the strawberry shortcake. Visiting a town on the coast? Make sure they’re serving up lobster and treat yourself. Why not? It’s the summertime, you’re on a road trip, and those Instagrams and tweets aren’t going to write themselves.
Hopefully, you can get out and explore all that North Carolina has to offer just hours away from Bradford Apartments & Townhomes. However, if a road trip doesn’t fit your hectic schedule, you can always make the quick trip to nearby Raleigh! Just 17 minutes away, it’s the perfect place to spend a summer night. Whatever you choose, make sure your road trip is designed to be different, just like Bradford!
