Christmas is a festive time at Bradford Luxury Apartments & Townhomes, and the community of Cary comes alive with festivities this time of year! Here are some of our favorite local things to do during the holidays. We encourage you to check these out as you prepare for the holiday season!
Heart of the Holidays Celebration
December 3 all day
Nothing shouts the holidays quite like Downtown Cary’s Heart of the Holidays Celebration. On Saturday, December 3, head downtown to enjoy a gingerbread house competition, a visit with Santa, a presentation of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by the Cary Players and the tree lighting of the town tree at 6:00 p.m. All of these events take place downtown at the various businesses, theaters and open spaces that make Cary great.
Grinch Candy Cane Hunt
Fred G. Bond Metro Park
December 10, 1-2 p.m.
If you have kids, head to Fred G. Bond Metro Park at 1 on December 10 to search for candy canes hidden by the Grinch himself. The event, designed for ages 6 through 12, does require registration, so get your kids registered before it’s too late!
Green Acres Christmas Tree Farm
1132 Morrisville Carpenter Road
All Season Long
Head out to Green Acres to cut your own Chimeras tree for your Bradford home. If you’re not in the market for a fresh-cut tree, you’ll find beautiful and fragrant pine garlands as well at this local tree farm.
Cary Christmas Parade
December 10, 2:00 p.m.
The Cary Christmas parade showcases professionally-made floats, local businesses, marching bands and more winding through downtown Cary. Get your spot to watch early, as this popular event tends to fill up quickly.
Chinese Lantern Festival
Through January 15 from 6-10p.m.
Take in the brilliant light displays at the NC Chinese Lantern Festival at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre. Every night through January 15, excluding Mondays, you can tour the craftsmanship and beauty of these light displays, which go far beyond any Christmas lights you have seen. If you visit on the weekend, you will also be able to see Chinese performers display their talents!
