The weather outside may be frightful, but that doesn’t mean you have to be bored all winter long. Sure, January and February may not be the best time to check out Cary’s parks and natural areas, but here are some ideas to keep yourself entertained when you’re stuck inside.
Give Your Home a Spring Clean
Ok, it may not be “fun,” but it is productive and it will make your space more enjoyable. Clean out those closets and pantries and give your house a deep decluttering. You might even be able to make some extra cash by selling some of your items online!
Read a Book
You’re going to have a little extra downtime in the winter, so consider reading that book you’ve been putting off. If you have kids, take some time to read to them as well. Even babies as young as six months benefit from hearing their parents voice reading to them, so grab a book and get started.
Organize Your Pictures
Do you have boxes of old pictures laying around? Now’s a great time to organize them or consider putting them into a scrapbook. If you have kids, this is a great way to dig into your family history while getting something profitable accomplished.
Create a Home Spa
Invest in some bath salts and lotions and turn your bathroom into a home spa. This is a great activity to do alone, and can be very relaxing, but it can also be fun with kids. Your kids will enjoy some pampering just as much as you do!
Learn a New Dance
Hit up YouTube and learn the latest dance moves. Since you’re at home in the privacy of your apartment or townhome, you don’t have to worry about being embarrassed. This is fun and it’s great exercise at the same time!
These are all great, fun and rewarding ways to spend a winter day, but when you really want to get out of your house, remember that Bradford has a number of indoor amenities waiting for you to discover. Take a splash in our indoor resistance pool or hot tub, check out our sauna and workout facilities or visit the golf simulator and indoor putting green. Soon the weather will warm and you can head back outdoors, but we’ve got you covered until then!
